Usage Hair Loss Tablets: Take one tablet a day with or without food. Swallow the tablet whole – we do not recommend chewing or crushing your tablets. Please be careful to read the product information leaflet. Minoxidil Spray: The recommended dose is to spray 1ml/10 pumps twice-a-day – ideally in the morning and evening. Your hair and scalp must be dry when applying the spray. Spread the solution across the treatment area using your fingertips, then wash your hands. Minoxidil is thought to increase blood flow and oxygen to your scalp, which helps to reinvigorate hair follicles that have been damaged by an over-production of the hormone DHT, although it’s exact mechanism is unknown. DHT causes miniaturisation to hair follicles, which eventually leads to reduced blood flow and a lack of nutrients being delivered to the scalp. The main risk comes from pets licking traces of treatment left on your hands, hair, or nearby surfaces. To keep pets safe, always wash your hands after applying treatment, store it safely out of reach, and keep pets away any soft furnishings that might contain traces of minoxidil.
